My Opulent Place (MOP) provides the resources that homeless Veterans need in order to start their path towards a self-sustaining lifestyle within their communities. Some of our resources as are follows:

Resources for Transitional Housing

My Opulent Place connects Veterans with organizations that will provide safe and affordable housing. While the partnering organization will provide the housing, MOP will assist the Veterans through the process of securing and keeping that housing for future years to come, including consultations in:

  • Household budget management
  • Home décor
  • Basic home management

Health and Wellness Programming

My Opulent Place will provide access to workshops, trainings, affordable clinic and healthcare events to educate Veterans with taking care of their body’s health and nutritional wellness. Certified trainers and experts in their related field will lead these opportunities. Topics to be covered include:

  • Healthcare (annual medical physical exams, dental, vision)
  • Nutritional Wellness (healthy eating, meal prep and cooking)
  • Preventive Care (cholesterol screening, diabetes, blood pressure, heart disease prevention)
  • Fitness Wellness (benefits of being fit, classes)
  • Substance Abuse (common additives, mixed substances, over the counter products, symptoms of addictions, tools/resources to battle addiction)
  • Mental Health (depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Veterans Affairs Support Services

My Opulent Place assists Veterans in completing and filing their paperwork with the Veterans Affairs (VA) to get their benefits instated, or even reinstated. Some benefits that come with being instated with VA include:

  • Disability compensation
  • Pension
  • Education and training opportunities
  • Healthcare
  • Home loans
  • Insurance
  • Vocational rehab and employment
  • Burial

Job Readiness and Educational Advancement

My Opulent Place’s goal is to help Veterans flourish as self-sufficient citizens in a communal, civilian environment. MOP supports Veterans who are interested in advancing their opportunities through education and/or job readiness. Experts from partnering organizations will provide trainings.
